Evlution Nutrition preworkout review

Evlution Nutrition Pre-workout Review – Engine Preworkout Blue Raz

We are trying to find the best pre workout supplement for 2019, so we are testing the top-rated pre-workouts to find out which is best.

Evlution Nutrition Engine (ENGN) states it delivers focus, energy and performance – the three factors everybody would love a boost in when working out.

We hope this Evlution Nutrition pre-workout review helps you to find the best pre-workout for you.

It has caffeine, vitamins B6 and B12, thiamine and creatine which combined are known to help with focus, energy and performance.

We had three TG reviewers (including myself) try and test this Evlution Nutrition in blue razz flavour. They noted down its effectiveness, side effects and gave it a rating.

Let’s find out what our reviewer’s actual thoughts were in this ENGN pre-workout review…

Enough of the chit-chat…

Overall Effectiveness

This is what we’re sure you’re here to find out. It is effective? Does the ENGN pre-workout work?

I waited 15 minutes before driving to the gym after this taking this supplement, it states to take it 15-30 minutes before training so by the time I got to the gym I was ready.

As I was doing my warm-up on the treadmill, I felt a slight energy boost and I felt like my focus increased and I zoned in a bit more on what I was doing.

That was all I felt during my workout, which personally I was disappointed with.

In terms of energy, I only had a slight boost and the same for focus.

“My workouts were good, although it was more like a normal workout compared to other pre-workouts” – Jordan, male reviewer. 5’9″, 155lbs.

When it came to performance, I would also say it was not much more different to any other day when I’m not using a pre workout, but it was different…

Just not as much as I would like from a pre-workout.

However, this pre-workout scored really well with buyers on BodyBuilding.com – over 9/10 from almost 3000 users in fact, so maybe it just didn’t work particularly for us?

Energy and Focus

As I touched on with energy, my focus wasn’t much more than usual when I train without a pre-workout.

I did feel like I focussed slightly more on my workout when I felt the pre-workout kick in, but compared to other pre-workouts this feeling was nowhere near the level that I’ve experienced before or since.

This was disappointing, because I’ve used other Evlution Nutrition products before and found them to be really effective.

“It was leg day when I tried this pre-workout, it was a prolonged workout and was very effective. Leg day is always hard to get up for, but I the workout lasted longer than usual and I worked hard” – Luke, male reviewer. 5’11”, 163lbs.

Other reviews didn’t quite find it as disappointing as me, but personally, I expected more.

Taste and Mixability

Evlution Nutrition’s ENGN has got the right balance when it comes to sweetness and sourness with their blue razz flavour, although the taste itself wasn’t particularly nice in my opinion. I managed to drink it all, but it took me a while as it suggests mixing it with 236ml of cold water.

It mixed well, eventually, but took a longer time to mix then some other pre-workouts. After stirring vigorously for a few minutes it was ready.

The other guys who tested the blue razz ENGN both agreed that it was slightly sour, but a overall a nice tasting pre-workout.

None of us found it difficult to drink, which is the most important thing in our opinion. As long as you can get it down you and get it working, that’s the main thing when it comes to taste for us.

  • Good taste and texture
  • Didn’t negatively impact workouts
  • Well balanced amount of caffeine, creatine and beta-alanine

  • Lacks that real energy kick offered by some other pre-workouts
  • Doesn’t offer much muscle pump
  • Users stated there isn’t much difference between this PWO and working out without a pre-workout

Side Effects

Although I didn’t feel any tingles or post-workout crash, during my workout, I felt nauseous and it only got worse too.

I had to cut my workout short due to feeling like I was going to be sick at the gym. As I got home, it continued and it took about an hour after to settle.

Our other testers didn’t experience the same side effects though, so maybe it was just a bad day for me… I’ll have to try it again and see if the same thing happens.

As you can see, this supplement had more of an effective on the other two reviewers than it did on me.

That is why it is important to show how a supplement can have a different effect on a different individual.

We all experienced a positive impact, just not very much of one. The ENGN pre-workout didn’t make things worse, let’s put it that way. So it did work. We just all agreed we wanted more.

For us, it didn’t quite measure up to the bar set by other pre-workouts we’ve tried, but we can’t ignore the reviews and ratings from BodyBuilding.com. Over 2800 people have averaged over 9/10, so it is clearly working well for other users.

When we consider this, we would recommend trying EVL pre-workout for yourself. If you can try before you buy, maybe if you know someone who uses it, that would be perfect.
